I am a native of West, Texas and I am thankful for the sacrifice my parents made to provide the opportunity for me to attend and graduate from St. Mary’s Catholic School. My mother, my six siblings, my husband, and my three children are also graduates of St. Mary’s.
After high school, I moved to Denton, Texas to attend the University of North Texas where I earned my Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education in 1990. I moved to Euless, Texas to teach fourth grade in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD where I remained for seven years. After marrying in 1994, I returned to the University of North Texas and earned my Master of Education degree in 1996. In 1998, our first child was born, we moved back to West, and my career changed to “stay-at-home-mom.” The next ten years were spent with our three daughters. Our youngest entered pre-kindergarten at St. Mary’s in 2006. I was then offered a job to teach religion in 2007.
My husband, Mark, and I have been married for 27 years and together we have three daughters, Claire, Katie and Natalie.
God has certainly given me much more than I deserve. I will continue to strive to apply these gifts for His greater glory.
To whom much has been given, much will be required. Luke 12:48
