I am absolutely delighted to be a part of St. Mary’s Catholic School. I am so thankful to God for guiding me here.
I was born and raised in Ennis, TX. To shorten my commute without moving too far from my extended family, I now reside in Avalon, TX. I graduated from the University of North Texas in 1997 with a Bachelor’s of Business Administration and certification to teach business classes at the high school level. Feeling unsure at that time if I could earn the respect of high school students since I was so young myself, I entered the corporate world and remained there for about ten years. I came to the realization that the corporate world was not the world for me, so I switched gears to pursue education. Still unsure about my abilities to handle high school students, I became certified on the other end of the spectrum, early childhood to fourth grade. I now have over a decade of early childhood experience, and I love teaching this age group. God called me here specifically because He wants me to use my talents in a Catholic environment.
My husband, Scott, and I were married in 1999. God has blessed us with three amazing daughters. My oldest daughter is attending Texas Tech University. It’s difficult not getting to see her very often, but I am extremely proud of the young woman she has become. My two younger daughters will be commuting with me to attend St. Mary’s. I am very grateful that they will have daily exposure to our faith.
